  4. Wrap ric rac around the headband and at the bottom of the wrapping insert and glue in the two pieces of wire.
  5. Keep on wrapping the ric rac around the headband and repeat to the other side of the headband so the two pieces of wire are staggered in height.

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Dish for food coloring

Supplies / ingredients:

  • Cotton ear buds
  • Styrofoam balls
  • Fake flowers
Cut the Q-tips in half
Poke them into the Styrofoam ball:If you make them too close together, the q-tips won’t push down very far.Once you are finished, mix up some water and food coloring.  I loved the aqua color, but I’m sure they would look adorable in yellow, orange, green or any other spring color!
Keep rolling the ball around in the food coloring until all the q-tips are evenly colored.Set it on a towel to dry.  The color will lighten a little when dry, so keep that in mind when you are mixing up your color!

  • a variety of charms
  •  glue
  • a toothpick
  • 2 pairs of pliers

Start by applying a small amount of glue to the tip of a toothpick.
Place a drop of glue onto one area of the bangle.
Place the end of the embroidery floss on the glue and start wrapping tightly around the bangle.
Once you’ve wrapped past the glued section, you don’t need to pay attention to wrapping so precisely.
Instead, wrap a generous amount around the bangle and then use your fingers to push the section together.
Continue wrapping until you’ve reached the end.
Add a dab of glue onto the bangle and finish wrapping.

DIY Glitter Bowl

Gather These Supplies:
  • Golden shimmer or glitter
  • 1 balloon
  • Glue
  • Sponge brush
  • Scissors
  • Vase, cup, or something else to hold the balloon while you work
Inflate your balloon, then set it onto a vase so it’s sturdier to work with.
Add glue to the top half of the balloon with a sponge brush, then sprinkle glitter all over. You can remove the balloon from the vase and hold it to add the glitter on the sides.
Let dry and add another coat of glue and glitter . Repeat. When you feel like the glitter is thick enough, let dry for a final time. However, you’ll still keep  Glue. You will need to add several coats until you achieve a thick coat (about 3 – 4 coats; this is for stability). Let it dry for 8 – 10 hours.
Then Turn your balloon and pop it with a needle, I couldn’t do this because I’ve always been afraid of the noise. Get a little to help if you need.
Now you’ll have a glitter bowl!

 WATERCOLOR paintings

 REALISTIC rose & leaves
Roses can be daunting to paint!  So many gorgeous petals, it’s tricky to know where to start!

I suggest you paint roses from three different angles.Try carrying out your own experiments with roses of different species and shapes — there are so many to choose from! Start with the center of the rose using a well-pigmented mix. Use the tip of the brush to paint little circles. Then rinse your brush well and squeeze it out. Using the tuft of the brush, paint broad petals around the center. Make sure you leave some negative spaces so that the rose appears to reflect the light.
